A nice stroll thru the woods... if it is still dry.
Located near the western trail head of the Swamp Fox Passage of the Palmetto Trail, approx. 5 miles north of Monks Corner on Hwy 52. There is a shorter way to the site, but we have not mapped it yet. The walk is NOT stroller accesible. Our 4 yr old made the hike with no problem. The cache is about 1/2 mile from the parking area. There are multiple elevated logs to walk on in the event the path is flooded. It was completly dry when we hiked in. We chose to go to the gravel road and around rather than trekking thru the woods. It did not add that much distance overall. We found a small snakeskin near the site and the bugs were out in force. The cache is in a tupperware container with an off white lid.
