This is a fantastic walking trail. The trail is hilly and rocky in some places, so wear good shoes! (recommend hiking only on this trail) The difficulty rating is because of steep hills and the location of the first cache. (Not for the faint of heart!) Make sure you take some water and maybe a picnic lunch! We placed the caches at our favorite places on the trail.
Cache #1 is a 35 mm film canister; it holds only the coordinates for the second cache. Please be careful when removing and replacing it. It could be very obvious to passers-by, and watch your footing! Don't let your GPS deceive you! You won't kick this one around.
Cache #2 is a plastic bottle (about the size of a large vitamin or spice bottle). The bottle holds a 1st place pin for the first finder, filled up Subway card for a free 6 inch sandwich, 2 Smoothie King coupons, lotto ticket worth up to $900, sting relief wipes (just in case!), dinosaur koosh ball, and two gold dollars. Of course it has a pencil and log. Remember to bring something small! It will be found in the base of a cedar tree that has four trunks. One of the trunks is about 2 feet tall. This one is located about 50 feet off the trail. About 2 feet from the tree there is an 'arrow' showing you the way! It is very well hidden.
