View of the sunken concrete ship in Galveston Bay. Gravel beach and salt scrub...some debris.

UPDATED!!! 12/29/01 I actually placed this in April but was unable to submit before going offshore and then moving. I am fairly sure it will still be there. For this, you will have to find your way onto Pelican Island. Go to Galveston and follow signs towards Seawolf Park. (From Houston, 45 S to 51st street, then left and over the Pelican Island Causeway) You can drive to within 200 feet of the site on a gravel road (don't go in the mud without 4wheel drive.) I chose this site because alot of people don't know about the sunken concrete ship and it's plainly seen (not accesible) from the cache. I tried to include a little history of the ship with it.

Wear jeans and DO NOT GO OVER THE LEVIES. Unfortunately, a lot of debris washes up on beach (sometimes interesting stuff if you are a scavenger like me.)

THANKS to DogBiscuit, a new cache with the same coordinates has been established!!! Cache is in a white bucket.
